Poem: In and Out

Today's prompt: Write a love poem to an object. This is what came up for me.

In and Out

Don’t you just love this skirt asked the Nordstrom sales girl
Looking in the mirror, I had to admit that it looked nice.
But love?

The tiramisu is divine, but I love the black raspberry liqueur
flavored chocolate cake said the tall handsome waiter.

Have you seen the Georgia O’KEEFE and Ansel Adams exhibit at the MOMA?
Didn’t you just love it?

Misused. Overused. Abused. Love is.

I hate you the object of my affection said as he slammed the door.

Out of love.
